Kristal Brock Reuscher was established in 1986 when Herb Kristal, Jim Brock and John Reuscher combined their individual insurance practices in order to provide clients a broader array of services and specialists.

Herb Kristal entered the insurance business in 1965 and focused on the uses of life insurance and wealth transfer. Herb retired in 2001.

Jim Brock entered the insurance business in 1970 after graduating from the University of Vermont and serving in Vietnam with U.S. Army. With the 1974 passage of ERISA, a major pension reform law, he refined his business focus to concentrate on helping entrepreneurs keep more of the money they earn.

John Reuscher entered the insurance business several years after graduating from Santa Clara University. Fascinated with computers and financial planning, John continues to work in these areas.

Today, as managing director of KBR, Jim continues the company’s tradition of integrity and excellence and shapes its evolution to meet clients’ changing needs.
